Agencies organize activities to commemorate HM King Bhumibol

Many agencies performed merit-making and organized other activities to mark the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great (Rama IX) on October 13, 2016.

At the Equestrian Statue of Chulalongkorn the Great in Bangkok, the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, Gen. Narongphan Jitkaewtae, led army commanders and officers in offering alms to 20 Buddhist monks from Hong Rattanaram Ratchaworawihan Temple. The merit-making activities for His Majesty were participated in by civil servants and representatives from the private sector. They were organized in nine locations of each province and Bangkok.

At the Dongtan Gulf Historical Park in Sattahip district, Chonburi province, the Royal Thai Navy organized an event to commemorate His Majesty’s contributions to the navy. The event featured an exhibition on His Majesty’s work in naval architecture and a performance by…
