Nu, Xi, ok Omicron it is! The world is going through the entire Greek alphabet of variants and it looks like we will have the same playbook unleashed on the markets. What people seem to miss that if just 1-2 major countries do lock downs the supply chain (across effectively every industry) becomes materially impacted thereby stoking inflation, higher costs, thereby elongating the market/business environment that we find ourselves in.
I have the same playbook, short-term I wouldn’t be surprised to see markets rally strongly later this week recovering from this drop, and these drops are no longer first time events, the severity of each drop is smaller and the recovery faster. Amusing times…
