A Cornwall teenager once coached by Gareth Southgate died after his motorbike hit a van head-on just one day into his Thailand lads holiday, an inquest has heard.
Anthony Ryan, 17, went to Thailand with his boss Jonathan Bond on an all-expenses paid trip for his birthday.
An inquest held at Bradford Coroner’s Court heard how Anthony “wanted to race” down a hill, and swerved left to right, before hitting the van in the collision which took his life on January 24, 2019.

Anthony, who had recently moved from Holme Wood estate in Bradford to Cornwall to work as a labourer, died from various injuries sustained in the crash.
He had hopes of starting a college business course in Cornwall before the holiday, which his family said was his first.
