KANCHANABURI: Twenty-four Myanmar nationals were arrested for illegal entry after they slipped across the border into this western province on Monday.
The first group, four men and three women, aged 12-56, were caught about 11.30am.
They were spotted hiding in trees near Moo 8 village in tambon Nong Loo in Sangkhlaburi district by a patrol of the army’s Surasee Task Force.
The seven said they crossed the border from Myanmar through a natural channel and were heading for Sangkhlaburi town to work.
They were handed over to Sangkhlaburi police for legal proceedings.
