A six-year-old Chonburi boy who is suffering from cancer was taken for the first time in his lifetime to see the sea, his biggest dream and wish.
Dragon Rescue Team told the Pattaya News that the six year old boy is now suffering in the last stage of cancer with a very low chance of treatment and recovery. His name was withheld at the request of the family.
He told his parents that he wanted for once in his lifetime to see the sea and touch the sand. His parents requested an ambulance with full medical equipment from the rescue team for the visit as the boy is very weak and seriously ill. The boy was taken to Bangsaen Beach earlier this week, his life dream being fulfilled, accompanied by a large volunteer medical team from Dragon Rescue.
The moment the boy arrived at the sea, he became very happy with a big smile on his face now that his dream had come true. The boy told his father that he wanted his leg to touch the sea water. His father immediately put his son’s leg in the water and touched it with the sand. He kissed his son all the time with tears after he saw his son was very happy.
The boy then said he wanted to eat shrimp. They brought him a cooked shrimp and the boy held the shrimp in his hand but had very little feeling or grip due to his sickness.
The boy had only a chance to touch the famous grilled chicken of Bang Sean but was unable to taste it due to his doctor’s concerns for his health. His innocent eyes showed that he was very happy with just being able to hold the shrimp. The boy was taken back from the sea safely to hopefully fight the cancer.
The posts about this visit went viral on Thai social media, being liked tens of thousands of times.
