The “Phi Pha” or forest spirit parade, which was the highlight of the event, drew many laughs and joy from the audience. People wearing these forest spirits’ makeups walked in procession and collected sweet and savory treats that the community had prepared for them, adding to the festive and joyful atmosphere of the event.
The event comes after Songkran, the Thai New Year, every new year, and is attended by hundreds, but mostly local residents versus tourists.
