Talk about two ends of an extreme… I’ve just returned from a two-week trip to Thailand and Singapore, where temperatures hit highs of 33°C.
And when I got back to the UK last Saturday, it was in the single figures, so the difference was pretty intense. What for most people was very cold felt even more Arctic to my acclimatised skin.
But, back to the trip! It was my first time in Asia and was arranged around my cousin’s wedding in Phuket (she has lived in Bangkok for the last few years teaching English to children) – it was an amazing 12 days.
What I found during that time was that the people were lovely, the food delicious and the scenery was absolutely stunning.
