From December 29th, 2022 to January 3rd there were in total 6,992 cases of drunk driving in Thailand’s ‘New Year’s Seven Days of Danger’ campaign.
Weerakit Hanpariphan, director-general of the Department of Probation said today (January 4th) that in a total of six days there were 6,992 cases of drunk driving in Thailand.
The provinces with the highest number of drunk-driving cases are Roi-Et with 427 cases followed by Nonthaburi with 318 cases and Samut Prakan with 252 cases.
When comparing the number of cases that entered probation in day six of the campaign in 2022 to those from 2021, it was found that the number of offenders who were placed on probation in 2023 are at 2,379 cases while in 2022 there were 317 cases.
