Thailand begin their second-round campaign against Canada at the FIVB Women’s World Championship on Tuesday as they aim to reach the quarter-finals.
The world No.13 Thais have a high chance of beating No.15 Canada — their lowest-ranked opponents in Pool F in the last-16 round — in Lodz, Poland.
Thailand will face No.14 Germany on Wednesday, No.4 Serbia on Friday and the top-ranked USA on Saturday.
Thailand will not have to play the other teams in Pool F — Turkey, Poland and the Dominican Republic — who came from the same first-round pool.
