Former Thai League 1 champions BG Pathum United were denied a dream start to their campaign for this year’s trophy as they suffered a 1-0 loss in their first match of the domestic season at Chonburi last night.
A lone goal from Danilo Alves midway through the first half proved enough to ensure three points for the Sharks.
Pathum dominated the midfield and enjoyed most of the possession in the first half but their inability to make inroads did not allow them the opportunity to fire any shot on target.
