Thai cyclist Jai Angsuthasawit made a winning return to action when he and teammates claimed the sprint team title at the Track Asia Cup in Suphan Buri yesterday.
Jai, Jaturong Niwanti and Wachirawit Saenkhamwong won the men’s sprint team event with a record time of 1:02.244min, which beat the previous national mark of 1:03.480.
Malaysia took silver (1:04.117) and Hong Kong got bronze (1:03.519).
Jai, considered Thailand’s best male cyclist at the moment, had suffered a heat stroke earlier in the tournament.
