Thailand, who finished eighth in the FIVB Nations League 2022 in Turkey last month, lost to Japan 3-0 in their opening match on Sunday at Pasig City’s PhilSports Arena.
They finished the preliminary round on six points from two wins, securing the second spot in Pool B.
