7-11 New Rules for Card Transactions

Seems like they’ve switched to a 200 baht minimum for card transactions.

Twice in a week I’ve tried to buy something(s) around 170 mark and they’ve complained that I need to spend 200. Is this new or have I been lucky over the past few years?

If I am lazy and don’t withdraw, I’ll use my foreign card to pay in 7 and take a tiny hit on the exchange, but now I guess I’ll make sure I always have cash…. PITA.
