516 new cases in Samut Sakhon

Covid detected through testing of migrant workers but most are asymptomatic

Health authorities on Saturday evening reported 516 new cases of coronavirus in Samut Sakhon province, most of them among migrant workers in the seafood processing hub.

The biggest one-day total by far since the pandemic began has been linked to a shrimp market where a 67-year-old Thai woman tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this week.
