49-Year-Old Man Crashes into Vendor Stall in Pattaya and Suffers Serious Injuries


Pattaya —

A 49-year-old Thai man suddenly rammed into a local religious vendor stall on the side of a road and sustained serious injuries.

The incident occurred at 02:40 AM this morning, March 23rd. Sawang Boriboon rescue workers rushed to a local stall selling Buddhist offerings in Soi Pornprapanimit in the Banglamung district of Pattaya after being notified of a seriously injured man.

The victim, Mr. Phothong Chaitamat, a 49-year-old native of Sakon Nakhon province, was discovered lying unconscious on the roadside. The man was bleeding heavily, so the rescuers provided him with first aid before rushing him to Banglamung Hospital.

The stall owner, 26-year-old Mr. Worachart Pilarat, told The Pattaya News that he was sleeping nearby and heard a loud crashing sound at his stall. When he got to his stand, he was shocked to see a motorcycle had crashed into it. The victim was found beside his vehicle.

Phothong is under close medical attention at Banglamung Hospital. Police are trying to determine the exact cause of the collision.
