There were 69 more Covid-19 fatalities and 26,050 confirmed new cases during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry reported on Friday.
This compared with the 82 coronavirus-related fatalities and 27,024 new cases reported on Thursday, just 47 below the all-time high set on March 18.
The figures did not include 26,655 positive results from antigen tests over the past 24 hours. This would raise the total to 52,705.
The 69 new fatalities were aged from 11 months to 96 years.
