17-year-old Chanettee enjoys perfect round to lead Thailand Mixed Halfway

With two eagles on the second and finishing holes plus five birdies against a lone bogey on the fourth, Sherman Santiwiwatthanaphong shot a second round 64 to fall two shots off the lead on 12 under-par-132. 

“Things just went my way with a little bit of luck. I made a 20-foot par putt and shot two eagles. I came to this tournament really well prepared by focusing on my fitness, ball control and concentration,” said the former LPGA player.

Settee Prakrongvech, winner of the Boonchua Ruangkit Championship two weeks ago in Nakhon Ratchasima, hit an eagle on the seventh hole, five birdies against three bogeys for a 68 to sit four back with a total 10 under-par-134.

“Overall, I was happy with my round even though I made some bad putts. I hit the iron well and hit some good shots. I just didn’t make a few putts,” said Settee whose lone third finish in the inaugural episode…
